The data values are surrounded by row and column labels. The first two lines of the output contain column labels and a set of spacer characters. Each line of data is preceded by a number labeling the row and a spacer character. The output thus looks like this:

If a box is specified, only the values within the box are printed.
Note if the data file (or box) has a large number of columns the output will be very wide and look funny.
The default width of the field in which to print each data value is 5 unless changed by the width= option.
