More details can be found in the discussion of the rfilter command.

Note: slot 0 is defined to be just clockwise of the home index hole, when looking at the filterwheel as the filters are installed.

Examples

To install the J filter type either line:
tx filter name=J
tx filter num=1

To determine the present position type.

Error Messages

If you get an error message indicating a non-integer filter number it means the filter is not centered on the entrance aperture. (Homing leaves it in that state.) Moving the filter wheel to a filter should correct it.

You may also want to home the filter occasionally if you don't trust its position. You then must move it to the desired position.

tx filter home
tx filter name=Kshort
