Absolute Gain

We employed the same technique that we used in Lab 2 (CCD Imaging) to find the absolute gain and read noise of the infrared array. Here we found the absolute gain to be about 23.55$\pm$0.63 $\frac{e^{-}}{DN}$ and the read noise to be 26.83$\pm$6.1 DN. I have included Figure 2 to show how we found the value for the gain and read noise.

Figure: Here is the plot that we got for our absolute gain. We found the absolute gain to be about 23.55 $\frac{e^{-}}{DN}$ and the read noise to be about 26.83 DN.
