Biography

My name is Chris Trinh and I am a senior physics and astrophysics undergraduate at U.C. Berkeley. I am currently applying for graduate studies in astrophysics. I have done research with Stuart Bowyer on excess EUV emission from clusters of galaxies, and Linda Sparke and Jay Gallagher on polar ring galaxies. I am interested in understanding the formation of structure in the universe by performing numerical simulations of galaxy mergers and carrying out observational studies of interacting galaxies.

The image in the background is an image of the polar ring galaxy NGC 3718 from the 3.5 meter WIYN telescope.
