BAD POINTING
The telescope pointing includes an adjustable offset. To find the
current offset (for EXAMPLE):
tx zero
done zero cra=0.111 cdec=0.131
After finding a star, center it in the field of view and save the
offset:
tx zero last
OFFSET VALUES
Cuurent post-dec-fix mounting of the Apogee CCD yields these offsets:
Date |
CRA |
CDEC |
06/14/2005 |
-.281 |
-.058 |
The past years' offsets for IRCAM were as follows:
Date |
CRA |
CDEC |
9/28/2004 |
-0.158 |
0.103 |
The script
/biggie/info/htdocs/telco/spiral
will perform a spiral search. For IRCAM, the field of view is
0.09
degrees. Use this as the offset between fields for a star search.
