NAME

ubi-Nickel telescope coordinate server

SYNOPSIS

ubi [debug] [int] [port=]

DESCRIPTION

ubi is a server program that reads the current location of the Nickel telescope and reports back in the BAIT format. The default port number is 0x1340.

int -allows commands to by typed in the keyboard rather than thru the BSD socket. The data cannot be inspected in this mode.

debug -more debugging printout about what is going on.

port= sets the port to the specified value int Hex (e.g. 0x1341). The default value is 0x1340. NOTE: do not specify port with leading 0x on sparcs.

WHERE COMMAND

The where command reads the telescope position from the telcod interface.

TEL_STATUS COMMAND

Returns the parameters of the Nickel Telescope

Where the telescope limits are taken from the Nickel Users manual and the location is taken from Steve Allen's listing

MOVE_SEC COMMAND

The move_sec command returns a dummy zero value of the secondary focus position.
